A galvanised steel external render stop (bell) bead, used to form a neat, drained "bell-end" lower edge where external render stops — for example above openings or at the base of a rendered panel. The mesh wings key into the render to resist cracking, and it's fixed with render/mortar dabs, grab adhesive or galvanised nails at roughly 600mm centres. Sold individually.
Specification: 3000mm length, 22mm render stop, 53mm mesh wings, in 0.4mm galvanised steel (Class A1, non-combustible). For very exposed or high-rainfall elevations a stainless steel or PVC-u bead is recommended. (BPC ref GERSB30.)
