50mm rigid PIR insulation board, supplied in 2400mm × 1200mm sheets with aluminium foil facings on both sides. Manufactured to BS EN 13165 with a typical thermal conductivity (lambda) of 0.022 W/mK. A popular mid-range thickness for partial-fill cavity wall insulation, ground-floor insulation between joists, and as a single layer between rafters in pitched roof build-ups. Lightweight, easy to cut, dimensionally stable. Sold per sheet.
